Dear Pastor

We hereby inviting you to the Pre-Launch of the National Institute for Church Development (NICD). The pre-launch will be in the form of a one day Seminar, which will take place on the 27 February 2010 at the Auditorium Vredelust Dutch Reform Church, 14th Avenue, Boston Bellville.

NICD is an institute with the mission of strengthening the witness of Christian Faith Communities especially the small (10-50) and medium (60-120) size church in historically disadvantaged communities, we also want to promote the development of partnerships for social transformation that will result in a new face of the church and society.

The movement, which is the vision and brainchild  of Xola Skosana, the senior Pastor of Way of Life Church in Khayalitsha, aims to restore the dignity and provide support to churches that function in obscurity without recognition. Small and medium size independent Pentecostal and charismatic churches are the most dominant face of the South African Church. These churches generally worship in a school or community hall with a few exceptions that have their own church buildings.

NICD will function as a consultancy that offers all the "how to's" to leaders of small and medium size churches, drawing from Way of Life's experience of the last 22 years. This will be established through one on one consultation but also through workshops, conferences, seminars, books, DVD's, CD's and Sermonic designs.

NICD can only accomplish this task through relationships and partnerships with churches like minded that are willing to offer encouragement and support, fellowship opportunities to meet and exchange ideas, mission opportunities that stretch and broaden  perspectives and mission resources that empower and equip. Should you not be able to attend this seminar, we would like to invite you to the launch of NICD on the 20 March 2010. The venue and program will be forwarded to you in due time.
